# I forgot my password. How do I choose a new one?

Don't panic, you can choose a new password in just a few clicks:

1. Go to the [Sign in](https://www.my-secret-santa.org/connexion) page and click **Forgot your password?** (or go straight to [this page](https://www.my-secret-santa.org/magic-link)).
2. Enter the email address of your My Secret Santa account and click **Send me the link**.
3. Open the **"Choose your new password"** email and click the link.
4. Enter your new password (at least 8 characters, with at least one lowercase and one UPPERCASE letter), confirm it and click **Save and log in**. You're signed in right away!

|| The link is valid for **1 hour** and can only be used once. If it has expired, click **Request a new link**.

|| You didn't get the email? Check your Spam / Promotions folders, and make sure you entered your account's address correctly ("This account could not be found" means there's no account with this address).

| You sign in with Google, Apple, LinkedIn or Facebook?
You don't need a password. But if you'd also like to be able to sign in with your email, you can set one with **Forgot your password?**, or from [My account](https://www.my-secret-santa.org/user-profil) > **Change my password**.

|| After several failed sign-in attempts, signing in is blocked for 15 minutes: use **Forgot your password?** instead.

Go to [My account](https://www.my-secret-santa.org/user-profil) (icon at the top right) > **Change my password**.
